Newmark Gallery San Francisco, founded by Mark J. Wladika, officially opened its doors at 251 Post Street on June 3rd, 2004. To celebrate the beginning of our fourth year here in the Union Square district of San Francisco, we are pleased to announce a summer show featuring some of the artists and range of distinctive styles we have exhibited over the past three years. Committed to the finest contemporary art in the Bay Area and Europe, the focus on the gallery is on original works, predominantly painting, ranging from twenty first century abstraction to cutting edge portraiture, cityscapes and landscapes, as well as masterful etchings and computer based installations.
Our annual San Francisco Cityscapes Shows have partnered the gallery with some of the finest mid career Bay Area artists. We have also been excited to introduce mid and late career Dutch, French, Russian and Polish artists to the Bay Area.
Featured artists include: Christian de Cambiaire, Gilles Combet, Anna Conti, Paula Evers, Anthony Holdsworth, Ilan Laks, Beryl Landau, Pierre Merkl III, Anna Mir, Marianne Mitchell, Larry Morace, Kevin Pincus, Anne Subercaseaux, Toru Sugita and Hans VanHorck,
